Human Centered Artificial Intelligence (HCAI) is an approach to developing and implementing Artificial Intelligence technology applications that focuses on the needs of individuals and communities who utilize these applications. This project intends to develop course modules and tools for students to understand human-centered AI methods and data requirements, conduct specific mobility analysis using AI-empowered technologies, and build multimodal technology solutions to improve mobility. The project outcome will deliver AI-based data integration and analytics education and workforce development modules that provide the transportation workforce with the knowledge and tools needed to assist them in improving the safety and efficiency of our nation's transportation system through innovative human centered AI transportation applications.
